Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) P.K. Mohanty inaugurated ‘Parishkaram’, an ICT (Information & Communication Technology)-Enabled Grievance Redressing System, at the Collector’s office here on Wednesday.

People staying in distant places can register their grievances in this call centre through phone number 9866992627 and get the same redressed in a stipulated timeframe that will be communicated to the mobile phones of petitioners.

Collector S. Suresh Kumar said people in far-off places need not take the pains to come all the way to meet the officials concerned in Guntur.

Thanks to `Parishkaram’, access to the district administration will hereafter be just a phone call away.

Mr. Suresh Kumar pioneered this concept when he was Collector of Medak district. A website www.parishkaram.org.in was also launched on the occasion.

Mr. Mohanty said the Revenue Department was doing its best to redress the grievances related to land matters and that Parishkaram was worth emulating throughout the State. Focus is currently laid on solving the problems faced by people, in the `Revenue sadassulu’ which evoked good response.

Joint Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy, Additional Joint Collector S. Venkat Rao, DRO K. Nagababu and others were present.
