HYDERABAD: The Cabinet sub-committee on Outer Ring Road Project of Hyderabad has taken the view that whatever compensation package finalised by the Government for land losers will have to be submitted to the High Court.

The committee, headed by Finance Minister K. Rosaiah, met here on Monday to consider various issues relating to the compensation package. It dwelt on several proposals to make the package under the project a unique one with several new features.

"Radical departure"

The package would be "a radical departure" from the provisions of the 1894 Land Acquisition Act under which land acquisitions for Government purposes are normally made, Mr Rosaiah said later.
