VIZIANAGARAM: The Eastern Power Distribution Company of A . Limited, in an effort to meet the demands of consumers, is keeping them informed of their services through various media, Superintending Engineer (Operations) N. Prasad has said.
After releasing a pamphlet on its customer services at Vidyut Bhavan here on Tuesday, Mr. Prasad said that the distribution company was adopting the available technology for the convenience of consumers.
It opened six call centres in the district for over 5.25 lakh connections in the district; of them about 4.65 lakh are domestic.
For people in the fort town, it opened a centre near M.R. College and another at Dasannapeta and the phone number is ‘155333’ for attending to problems, including representations for service connection.
HT consumers, however, must have to contact the call centre in the corporate office in Visakhapatnam for problems. The phone number is: 0891-2582345 or mobile no: 9440816357.
Deputy General Manager (Corporate Communications) K.V.R. Prasad said that consumers could also pay bills by visiting www.apeasternpower.com besides information regarding electricity connection and tariff. He said that the corporate office would be organising ‘communication with media’ programme in each district to explain facilities available.
