Farmers, led by Bharatiya Kisan Sangh and Konaseema Rythu Parirakshna Samiti, will launch a ‘padayatra’ from Bendamurulanka village, where a crop holiday was declared two years ago, on Sunday. The 965 km ‘padayatra’ will be led by G. Srirambabu, vice-president of BKS and Y. Venkatanandam, J. Kumara Swami and K. Jameelu. The aim of the yatra was to demand for minimum support price for crops, permission to sell the produce anywhere in the country and release of water on time from reservoirs.
