Gandhi Hospital authorities suspended elective surgeries on Saturday to take up repairs to the Oxygen supply pipes in the hospital. Some of the patients who were on ventilators were shifted to Osmania and Niloufer hospitals temporarily in view of the stoppage of oxygen supply, authorities said. The repair works were done in six hours.

Unidentified persons damaged the oxygen supply pipes a few days ago causing panic among patients on ventilators. It was suspected that thieves could have tried to cut and take away the copper pipes supplying oxygen.
