Hyderabad Parliament Member Asaduddin Owaisi has recalled the services of Muslim leaders who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle.

Mr. Owaisi released a book ‘Indian Freedom Struggle – AP Muslims', written by noted writer Syed Nazeer Ahmed. State Grandalaya Samstha Chairman Turlapati Kutumba Rao released another book ‘Akshara Shilpulu', at the function held in the city on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the MP said that many Muslim leaders particularly from Andhra Pradesh participated in the freedom and sacrificed their lives. He praised Mr. Nazeer, who wrote books in Telugu language, and asked him to translate them into English and Urdu languages too.

Assuring to extend all help to the writer, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi said that the younger generation should know the facts and more writers should emulate Nazeer to bring out the facts on Indian history and freedom struggle.

Mr. Kutumba Rao said that ‘Akshara Shilpulu' explains the auto biography of Muslim writers and their role in bringing reforms in the society. Later, Mr. Nazeer Ahmed was felicitated on the occasion.

Regional Vigilance and Enforcement Officer Abdul Sattar Khan, eminent poet and retired additional joint collector Shamsheer Ahmed, VUDA deputy collector Noor Basha, Krishna District Writers Association secretary G. V. Purnachand, Bezawada Bar Association general secretary A.K. Basha and other were present.
