HYDERABAD: Three contractors -- Somdatt-Ramky Joint Venture, Gayatri Projects Ltd., and KNR-GVR Joint Venture, bagged the three portions of the 38-kilometre Outer Ring Road works between Patancheru and Shamirpet via Medchal, a press note from Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority informed on Friday.

The civil works package from Patancheru to Mallampet went to Somdatt-Ramky, while the one from there upto Dundigal was given to Gayatri Projects Ltd. KNR-GVR bagged the stretch from Dundigal to Shamirpet. All the three as also the Supervision Consultancy Contract were finalised after evaluating the bids under International Competitive Bidding process, the press note informed. Contract price for the first two stretches was finalised around Rs.324crore, while for the third, it was about Rs.576.38crore.

EGIS BCEOM, France in joint venture with APDECO Co. Ltd., and EGIS BCEOM India won the bid for the Supervision Consultancy at Rs.37crore.

The loan agreement for the proposed works packages as part of ORR Project Phase-IIB was finalised with the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The second loan agreement covering the 33.3-kilometre stretch from Shamirpet to Peddaamberpet too was concluded with government of Japan last year.
