HYDERABAD: A delegation of all opposition party leaders has submitted a memorandum to the Governor's office demanding separation of inquiry into ORR project and International Airport and hardware park land issues.

Led by general secretary of TDP Kadiam Srihari, representatives of various parties alleged that the Government's attempt to club the two issues would dilute and divert people's attention from the real issue of irregularities in alignment of ORR. With Governor Rameshwar Thakur on tour, the memorandum was submitted to his secretary.

They also reiterated their demand that a sitting judge of the Supreme Court or High Court enquire into the ORR issue, land-to-land compensation to those who lost their land to the project and cancellation of all registrations and notifications. They wanted the Governor to withhold consent to proposed ordinance on land acquisition by the Government as it was anti-poor.
