Six more ATMs to be added to the existing 21 in city region
HYDERABAD: Core banking solution (online banking) is being implemented in all branches of the Vijaya Bank in Hyderabad region to mark the completion of 76 years, according to T. Valliappan, Executive Director of the bank.
Mr. Valliappan was addressing a function organised here on Monday to mark the occasion. He said that the online banking facility leads to improved customer services and faster disbursals and transactions even in remote rural branches of the bank.
He stated that six ATMs (automated teller machines) would be added in the near future to the fleet of 21 ATMs in the Hyderabad region which has 49 branches. These branches cover Telangana and Rayalaseema regions. Recently, Vijaya Bank had opened its off-site ATM at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad. The region recorded a total business of Rs.4,100 crore as on March 31, this year.
K. J. Hegde, General Manager, Chitra Jagadish, Deputy General Manager, B.H. Giridhar Shetty, AGM and staff of the regional office were present.
