12- member team helps corporation with water draining operations

    Rajahmundry: The Rajahmundry Asset of ONGC deployed its `Crisis Management Team' (CMT) to drain off flood water from the low lying areas of Rajahmundry from Sunday to Monday evening.

    A 12-member CMT working round the clock at Nalla channel for water logging operations. ONGC installed two high pressure discharge pumps of 2000 gallons/minute capacity.

    Water distribution hit

    Municipal corporation sought the help of ONGC in draining off the flood water from the city and A.A. Khan, Asset manager responding to the need of the hour pressed its 12-member CMT headed by K Satyanarayana, GM (Drilling) along with required logistics. ONGC is also helping in reviving city's drinking water distribution facility that was badly affected due to power failure.

    One 2000-gallon pump is pumping in water from the Godavari into the water treatment plant.

    Apart from this, as a socially committed corporate ONGC, Rajahmundry Asset will extend all help to the flood-affected villages. A decision to this effect was taken on Monday by Mr. Khan.
