One 500 MW unit-1 of NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station, Parawada was shut down due to a technical snag on Sunday. The unit-1 was shutdown due to a ‘minor’ snag and a technical team was on the job to restore it in next 48 hours, an official of NTPC said.

NTPC Simhadri, which has four units, generates 2,000 MW of which supplies 1,000 MW from stage-I and 452 MW from stage-II to Andhra Pradesh.
