VISAKHAPATNAM: One more case of cutaneous anthrax from Munchingput mandal of the Visakha Agency area has been admitted in the King George Hospital on Friday evening while departments of medical and health and animal husbandry are taking steps to control anthrax in the mandal.

The four admitted on Tuesday and the one patient brought on Friday are improving, said Superintendent of KGH M.V.R.J. Somayajulu on Saturday.

The fresh case was admitted in the surgery ward. Camps are being held in the villages from where cutaneous anthrax cases were reported and 11 persons were being treated.

Ten teams have been formed to carry out the anti-anthrax operations.
