Srikakulam Collector Saurabh Gaur on Saturday said the government would provide employment to 3 lakh workers under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme this year and one lakh workers would be covered from Srikakulam division itself. He reviewed the welfare activities of the division in Srikakulam Zilla Parishad meeting hall. He interacted with senior officials and asked them to meet the targets in the respective departments.

The Collector asked the special officers to inspect the progress of the works, including NREGS works, when they visit villages under Palleku Podam programme. Additional Joint Collector RSA Rajkumar, DRDA Project Director P. Rajanikanta Rao and others attended the meeting.
