Justice B. Seshasayana Reddy of the High Court on Tuesday declared that the arguments in the bail petition filed by Srinivas Reddy who is accused in the Obulapuram Mining Case (OMC), will be heard next week.

Srinivas Reddy who is brother-in-law of Gali Janardhan Reddy sought to be released on bail as investigation regarding his role is complete. The CBI informed the court that Ali Khan, personal assistant of Gali Janardhan Reddy revealed many things to the investigating agency and they need to pursue the matter further and at this stage bail cannot be granted.

Relief for Warangal traders

Justice Subhashan Reddy restrained the authorities from going ahead with the construction of road over bridge on Hyderabad- Warangal National Highway in Warangal. The court was passing these interim orders in a writ petition filed by Cloths Merchants Association and others challenging the proposals. The petitioners contended that the present proposals would destroy the business area and crores worth of properties would be demolished. The court was told that the authorities were blocking the entry into 150 year old Bazaar. The Judge directed the authorities not to interfere with the properties of the petitioners’ businessmen and also stop construction activity.
