Students aged six and above from Manjeeram, a Bharatanatyam dance academy, will present ‘Ojas’, a unique dance performance, at Ravindra Bharathi on April 6 evening.
‘Ojas’ means continuation of a purposeful existence and aims at achieving excellence. Its objective is to create a platform for students to perform. A highlight of the event would be a performance on deforestation by the students.
In a press release, academy’s director Archana Karry said the performance would seek to draw attention of every individual in saving the mother Earth. The programme is presented by 15 classical dancers who were trained under the Bharatanatyam teacher for more than a year.
