The National Thermal Power Corporation, Ramagundam, which will soon set up the first phase of 10 MW solar photo voltaic power plant in the township, has signed the power purchase agreement (PPA) with the AP Transco recently, said Y.V. Rao, General Manager of NTPC, Ramagundam.

The General Manager on Thursday said that the Ramagundam power station was being operated with best parameters and generating power at 91.78 per cent PLF and added that the annual overhaul of unit I, II and IV were completed.

He said that the NTPC Ramagundam had emerged winners in the employees' relations and runners up in Rajbasha implementation at the NTPC Shram Shakthi awards for the year 2010-11.


He said that the Ramagundam station had also won best quality circle supporting station award at the recent quality circle convention held in Hyderabad.

He complimented the employees for achieving several milestones in the power generation and other aspects of the power station.

Certificates given away

He also distributed merit certificates and scholarships to the students of government schools of Ramagundam mandal who secured highest marks in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.
