Preparing for board exams, but still addicted to your mobile phones? Well, you could now use your phone to go through study guides and question banks.

‘TxtWeb’, an initiative of Intuit Technology Services, is offering a complete set of practice test suits that can be accessed by students through SMS. And here’s the best part: you don’t even need a smartphone to use the service.

“TxtWeb provides access to content available on web to those who do not have smartphones. All one has to do is to subscribe to different packs available with service providers,” Aminish Sharma, Head of Technology for txtWeb said during an interaction with reporters on Friday. Currently, the service is being offered by Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, and Tata Teleservices.

Once the student subscribes, she would only have to send an SMS to 51115 to get a model question. Once a reply is sent, its answer, as well as the next question will be delivered as SMS. Registered students will not be charged for messages, Mr. Sharma said.

Apart from practice test applications, subscribers can also retrieve information regarding any subject available on the web by using more than 5,000 applications, he explained. For further details about the service, visit www.txtweb.com or visit Facebook page www.facebook.com/ txtWebfans .
