ANANTAPUR: Gloomy phase was still in store for the farming sector in the country due to the continued unfriendly farm policies of the governments, State general secretary of Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham (All India Kisan Sabha) Ravula Venkaiah said here on Friday.

Farmers were still in serious debt trap and their continuing suicides were an indication of the crisis still looming large over the farm sector, he said at the 10th district Congress of APRS.

A sizeable number of farmers were leaving farming unable to sustain it and were migrating to urban areas.
