Police have not established any links even after 15 days of cracker bomb blast that took place in Rajahmundry City. Police initially got some breakthrough in this case after extracting information from the victim and main accused, software Engineer Seetaramaiah Chinna Basavaiah Jagadeesh of Bangalore and his brother-in-law BV Ramakrishna, a cable-operator of Rajahmundry. In an explosion Jagadeesh, lost his two wrists and one eye.
The explosion took place when he was connecting timer and cracker bomb to a computer.
Police first shifted the accused to Sarojinidevi Eye Hospital in Hyderabad and immediately brought him back to Rajahmundry. He was again shifted to Kakinada General Hospital, where his two wrists were amputated. They took the techie's brother-in-law to various places and questioned the main accused for several days.
The police sent teams to Bangalore to know the antecedents of Jagadeesh, but teams failed to establish any links in this case. The prima facie of the case also was not established in this case till today as police did not find any clue leading to links between him and other extremist or Maoist groups. When contacted, a senior police officersaid that cases will be booked on the accused under explosives act and related sections.
