Over 5,300 cusecs of water flows into Manjira river

  • Filling up of Nizam Sagar after six years
  • Water reaches full reservoir level

    NIZAMABAD: After six years, the Nizamsagar project, which is considered to be the lifeline for agriculture in the district, was filled up and over 5,300 cusecs of water is flowing into the Manjira river now.

    Much to the delight of farmers here, over 3,300 cusecs is being discharged by lifting crest gates 7 and 8 up to 2ft height and another 2,000 cusecs is going through the canals.
