NIZAMABAD: The Nizamabad district secured first position by achieving a record pass percentage of 90 and above in the SSC public examination results that were declared on Wednesday.
Of 33,426 students who have appeared for the examination 30,399 have passed. Girls topped the list with 91.26 pass percentage while the boys got 90.64 per cent.
The result secured this year is one per cent more than that of the previous year. Interestingly, a large number of students passed in the first division. Appreciating the students for faring well in the SSC examinations in the State, Collector B. Ramanjaneyulu, said the rare success could be possible only through the hard work put in by the and dedication of teachers, students and their parents. The comprehensive plan chalked out by the district administration came to fruition, he said. Meanwhile, the students of Social Welfare Residential Schools achieved one per cent more than that of students from other schools, said Buchaiah, Deputy Director of Social Welfare.
