VIJAYAWADA: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has invited applications for admission into the courses offered by it.
G. Hari Shankar Prasad, Associate Professor in Marketing and Merchandising at NIFT, addressed a press conference here on Tuesday and said that the institute was offering both graduate and post-graduate courses in design (fashion, textile, apparel and accessory), technology and management. All these courses had 100 per cent placement track record.
Set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Textiles, the institute had since then emerged as the premier institute of design, management and technology. It groomed professionals who had been taking lead in fashion business in the emerging global scenario through a network of eight professionally managed centres in New Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Raebareli.
Mr. Prasad said application forms would be sold till March 2, while the filled-in ones would be received till March 6. A written entrance examination would be conducted on April 15.
The institute offered under-graduate courses in designing for 10+2 or Intermediate pass students, under-graduate courses in technology for 10+2 or Intermediate (with mathematics, physics and chemistry), post-graduate courses in management for graduates and post-graduate courses in apparel production for B.Tech students.
