HYDERABAD: Former president of Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association G. Rama Murthy urged the State Government to probe into the alleged irregularities in preparation of voter lists for graduate constituency of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Mahboobnagar.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, he alleged that some influential people have submitted applications with tampered and fake degree certificates. According to him, on November 6 alone, 35,970 applications were submitted. It was surprising that with limited staff available at the Hyderabad DEO such large number of applications were accepted on a single day.

"The Government should issue photo identity cards in all graduate constituencies to check impersonation," he added.
