TIRUPATI: Even before the legal hassles involved in Praja Rajyam public meeting held on Avilala Tank could vanish from public memory, the Government appears to be in for another dose of headache.

Voice of Hyderabad (VoH), a voluntary organisation involved in a social tirade against unauthorised billboards, hoardings, plastic garbage etc., has taken serious exception to the extreme damage done to the tank-bed and accused the district Collector and the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Tirupati for according permission to the meeting.

The NGO has issued an ultimatum to the officials either to restore the tank-bed to its original form or get ready for a fresh bout of legal battle.

Addressing the media here on Saturday, VoH president Saipratap Shastri said the law mandated the organisers of such large-scale meetings to clean up the premises within a month and undo the damage wrought to the environment, but sadly enough, the Praja Rajyam organisers had not turned up.
