Nestham, a Non Governmental Organisation, conducted horticulture clinic in seven villages of Krishna district on Saturday. A senior scientist of Mango Research Station , Nuzvidu, Aparna visited gardens in Dugiralapadu, Ganginani, Munagapadu, Churvumadhvaram, Teladevarapadu, Pitrampadu , Sunnampadu villages of G. Kondur mandal.
The scientist visited mango gardens in those villages to study the flowering, fruition status with the mango farmers and observed some diseases and gave remedies for them. Some of the common diseases were Anthracnose, Bacterial leaf spot, Leaf Webber and Trips.
After the visit a meeting was held and the scientist conducted a filed-level classroom for the mango farmers to give them tips for harvesting methods.
Grading and packing of the mango was also important, said Ms. Aparna.
