Retired Deputy Collector M. Ramachandra Reddy has been appointed the new Officer-on Special-Duty (OSD) for the TTDs prestigious Srinivasa Kalyanam project. The project which was set-up with a sole intention of promoting the glory of Lord Venkateswara across the globe, was in the thick of controversy for alleged fraudulent activities adopted by the staff. One of the major allegations include the non-submission of bills worth over a crore by the former director of the project besides failing to account for the huge donations collected overseas for the conduct of the programme.
It is against this back drop that the management as an overhauling measure has appointed Mr. Reddy who in the past not only served the institution in the capacity of Estate Officer but also played a key role in accruing vast properties in favour of the institution. Mr. Reddy will continue in the office for a period of two years.
