The price of subsidised domestic LPG cylinder in the city will cost Rs.412.50 from Rs.400.50. A non-subsidised cylinder which used to cost Rs.965 will now be offered at Rs.979.50. The new prices come into effect from Sunday.

The hike in cylinder price comes after the commission paid to dealers was increased from Rs. 25.83 to Rs.37.25, declared Twin Cities LPG Dealers’ Association. Though the subsidised cylinder price was increased by Rs.11.42, city consumers have to shell out Rs.12 extra due to the difference in sales tax imposed in the State.
