At the glittering inaugural function of NAJ Jewellery showroom, there was a sudden pause as everybody turned their heads for a while. It was Nellore Rural MLA Anam Vivekananda again, who tried on bridal jewellery and caused hilarity all around.

Known for his penchant for garnering attention in any given situation, Mr. Vivekananda Reddy sprang a surprise as visitors watched in amusement when the MLA wore ‘vaddiyanam' and some antique jewellery. He came there as the chief guest of the inaugural function but eventually turned a ‘model'.

Only a few weeks ago, Mr. Vivekananda Reddy wore a ‘chunni' and posed for lensmen at the inauguration of a saree mela organised here in the town. When asked about his intentions behind this, the MLA would merely laugh it away as just a little ‘tamasha' and light entertainment, which should not be taken seriously.

Speaking on the occasion, NAJ showroom managing director Lalith Jain and his gemologist-wife Anita Jain said all varieties of jewellery are being made available in their new showroom to meet the varied needs and tastes of customers. Antique jewellery was really exquisite as it was fashioned in the hands of highly skilled masters, they added.
