Phacoemulsification, a form of modern cataract surgery, was launched at the Navajeevan Charitable Eye Hospital in Tiruchanoor here on Tuesday. The surgery equipment was inaugurated by Sri Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikan, the pontiff of Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashram, to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the hospital. In-house doctor P.
