The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for post graduate medicine courses will be held as scheduled from Friday, Minister for Medical Education Kondru Murali stated here on Thursday.
The State government had no powers to cancel the examination since the Supreme Court did not give any orders. He suggested the students who applied for the test to appear for it. As the High Court had stayed the NEET, they were expecting a similar decision from the apex court, the Minister said.
However, the Supreme Court postponed the case when it came before it on Thursday.
The State government would conduct a test separately if they get a positive verdict in the Supreme Court, Mr. Murali noted.
