NIZAMABAD: The Nizamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed its full support to the ongoing movement for formation of Telangana State and offered all possible assistance from its side to the agitation.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, NCCI president D. Surender, said the chamber decided to call upon the businessmen to withhold the paying of all kinds of taxes to the government demanding the immediate declaration of the separate Statehood.
He said the chamber declared non-cooperation to the government by scrapping the facility of providing fuel to public vehicles on credit and supplying rice through levy system. Calling upon all sections of the people to take part in the movement cutting across the party lines, he said the chamber would extend its support to all bandhs and strikes for Telangana.
Hailing the resignations of State legislators and Members of Parliament the chamber past president Goutham urged other elected representatives whoever remained to tender resignation to do so immediately.
He urged the government employees to observe pen down and policemen to down guns. Everyone needs to give moral support to the agitators at this juncture as the movement reached pinnacle, he added.

The NCCI leaders said the chamber would provide all assistance to the students if the hostels and messes were closed down by the authorities to dilute the movement for separate State. Earlier in the morning, as part of their agitation they pasted Telangana labels on the number plates of vehicles.
Another past president Rajiv Puri and past general secretary Rajiv Dua were also present.
