Five hundred cadets take part
The 10-day-long Annual Training camp for cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets concluded here on Thursday.
Addressing the function, Group Commander N.R. Munjit said the NCC training was aimed at inculcating discipline among students at a young age and shaping them into responsible citizens of future India.
The training included firing, map reading, night navigation, drill and martial arts.
As part of development of leadership qualities, cultural programmes, blood donation, sports, public speaking and other events were organized. The cadets were given training for Subrato Cup tournament for under-17 group.
He said best training would be imparted to the cadets competing for participation in the Republic Day parade at New Delhi.
Five hundred cadets from Kurnool and Anantapur districts took part in the camp. Associate officers Venkata Seshu, Yasin, Prabhudas and Nandish assisted the officers to conduct the camp.
