The multifarious talent of the students of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya here came to the fore during the 26th Annual day celebrations on Tuesday.
It was a memorable day for the students from rural background who performed solo and in group dances showcasing unity in diversity, the nation's rich cultural traditions.
The students enacted “Parivartana” and “Dhanam” among other thought-provoking dramas with social message during the celebrations presided over by its principal K.Sagarika.
JNV Alumni Association secretary K.Ratnakar Babu lauded the teachers for their dedication and moulding the personalities of himself and other students in their formative years to attain success in different walks of life.
Noted philanthropist Sidda Venkateswara Rao, participating as chief guest, gave away prizes to students who excelled in co-curricular activities during the year.
Post-graduate Biology teacher V.Keshav Prasad, National Best Teacher awardee, was felicitated on the occasion so also teachers D.Bramiaha, D.Prasada Rao, K.Rama and M. Deva Maniamma, who put in 25 years of service.
