Recovers completely from swine flu
Minister calls on official and extends him Ramzan greetings
Official also reviews the progress of welfare programmes
NALGONDA: District Collector S. A. M. Rizwi has resumed duties on Tuesday after completely recovering from swine flu.
Minister for Information Technology K. Venkat Reddy and others called on the Collector on the occasion of Ramzan and extended festival greetings here on Monday night.
Meanwhile, the Collector received petitions from the public on their grievances and reviewed important files throughout the day in his chambers in the Collectorate on Tuesday.
Mr. Rizwi also reviewed the progress of various developmental and welfare schemes besides the just concluded first phase of the household survey meant for weeding out bogus ration cards with the officials concerned, sources said.
Meanwhile, three persons of the district including a medico have been undergoing treatment for swine flu at different hospitals in Hyderabad.
Bhavani Prasad of PA Palli mandal and Krishnaveni of Devarakonda mandal besides a city based medical student of the district were tested positive for HINI virus in Hyderabad, said the District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Champa Naik.
When contacted, he said that the health and para-medical staff have been put on alert to prevent swine flu and other viral infections. “No case of dengue had been reported from anywhere in the district”, he said.
