He aims at helping poor and meritorious youngsters pursue higher studies
Karnati Sriram Bhargav, a Nalgonda boy, who is pursuing his studies at the IIT-Bombay, has been offered an annual salary of Rs. 80 lakh by Samsung, stated to be the highest during the campus this year.
Son of Mr. Vijayakumar, a sub-treasury officer in DTO here, Bhargav has been a consistent rank-holder right from his school days - SSC (550 marks), Intermediate (951) - going on to achieve the 55th place in the IIT.
He had secured the 22nd rank in AIEEE at the national level and opted for IIT-Bombay to study computer science.
Mr. Vijayakumar told ‘The Hindu’ he wanted his son to join the Civil Services to be able to serve the society.
“However, I am happy that Bhargav would be getting his annual salary what I myself have not been able to earn during my 27 years of government service,” he said. He and his wife Aruna are beaming with happiness, at their son’s feat.
Their house in Krantinagar Colony has been flooded by relatives and mediapersons extending their greetings.
As for Bhargav, he hopes to fulfill the wish of his father even while working.
At the same time, he wants to become the CEO of a company and help poor and meritorious youngsters pursue higher studies.
