Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate a 100-foot high pylon at Madhiripuram village in Tirumalayapalem mandal on January 9 to mark the 100th day of his ongoing “Meekosam” padayatra and formal entry of his foot march into the district on Wednesday.
Mr. Naidu will reach Madhiripuram from Warangal district late on Tuesday night and make a night halt in the village. He will inaugurate a pylon and also unveil a statue of party founder N. T. Rama Rao in the village on Wednesday. He will preside over the party general body meeting in the morning.
Later, Mr Naidu will hit the road as part of his padayatra in the district. He will undertake his foot march in five mandals and Khammam town spread in Palair, Khammam and Madhira constituencies for one week.
Meanwhile, speaking to media persons here on Saturday evening, party district president Kondabala Koteswara Rao said that the party general body meeting will discuss the prevailing political situation, the problems faced by farmers, toiling masses and other sections due to Congress party’s misrule in the State and Centre among other important issues.
A host of party senior leaders will participate in the meeting and also in the pylon inauguration and NTR statue unveiling ceremonies. Khammam MP Nama Nageshwara Rao, MLA Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Sattupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, and Yellendu MLA Vuke Abbaiah were present.
