Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu has promised to enact an anti-corruption legislation as soon as the party assumed the reins of power.

The Bill to go with the legislation will be introduced in the first sitting of the House, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu said while administering pledge to people at a village in Krishna district on Republic Day on Saturday.

He added that the election manifesto of TDP will contain steps the party proposed to take as part of the anti-corruption drive in the State, according to a press release from L. V. S. R. K. Prasad, chairman of media cell of the party. The party will contemplate severe punishment against people who indulged in corrupt practices. They could be of any party and whatever stature.
