The second phase of TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu padayatra in Krishna district is likely to be delayed by three days due to the MLC elections and minor injuries suffered by Mr. Naidu.

The TDP leader, who suffered minor injuries when a makeshift dais collapsed in Guntur district, will break his padayatra for a half-a-day. Likewise, the Krishna-Guntur graduates MLC elections scheduled on February 21 and holidays, including Sunday, thereafter will have their own impact on the padayatra.

The TDP leaders, consequently, have fixed the February 25 as tentative date for commencing the second phase padayatra in the district. They, earlier, stated that Mr. Naidu will enter the district by February 22. Mr. Naidu will enter the district at Puligadda-Penumudi varadhi near Avanigadda. He will tour four constituencies in East Krishna including Avanigadda, Pamarru, Gudivada and Kaikaluru before entering West Godavari district via Upputeru. Mr. Naidu is scheduled to walk 130 km and cover all the four constituencies in 14 days. In first phase, the TDP leader walked 156 km, and in second phase, he will walk about 130 kilometers.
