GUNTUR: The searing heat conditions have forced TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu to extend the `Mee Kosam’ programme in the district by another two days and reduce the average distance covered during the yatra.

Mr. Naidu, who was supposed to wind up his tour on Wednesday at Nagarjunasagar and enter Nalgonda district, will now stay put in the district until May 2. According to the revised schedule, Mr. Naidu would start the tour from Phirangipuram on Tuesday morning and will reach Sattenapalli by the night. He will cover villages near the town on Wednesday and reach Piduguralla in the night.

Starting from Pidugurall on Thursday, he will reach Karampudi by night. On Friday , he would tour Macherla and enter Nalgonda district in the evening. Sources said that the programme has been extended to facilitate Mr. Naidu cover all the villages as scheduled and on medical advice.
