The Andhra Arts Academy and New Helpline Services will jointly organise music competitions titled ‘Swararaaga Sammohanam’ in the city.

The competitions will be held from February 25 to 27 at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram.

Interested singers could register their names from February 10 to 24, said the organisers at a press conference here on Friday.

Noted singer D.V. Mohan Krishna said the programme was being conducted at Hyderabad for the past eight years. From this year, the Andhra Arts Academy is extending the programme to other districts too.

Ok Silks is extending financial support for the programme.

The theme of the competitions was to encourage Carnatic music and train the singers in music and singing, he added.

One of the organisers N. Ramakrishna said participants aged between 18 and 24 were eligible to participate.
