Five persons including a doctor, advocate were arrested in three hours of committing offence

ADILABAD: The police have arrested five persons including a doctor and an advocate who stand accused in a murder that took place on Tuesday midnight. The accused were arrested within three hours of allegedly committing the crime at Ramnagar locality on the periphery of Adilabad town.

Producing the accused at a press conference, Adilabad DSP A.R. Damodhar accompanied by Circle Inspector S. Bala Raju, Sub-Inspectors D.A. John Diwakar and K. Purushotham Reddy, said the prime accused Kade Shankar had a running dispute with his neighbour, the deceased Alamala Shankar for allegedly illegal contact with the latter’s wife.

On Monday night, he hatched a plan to murder Shankar with the help of his friends Ch. Ravi Kumar, an advocate, Gopi Sandeep, a doctor, Gali Santosh and Aswad Ahmed. After inflicting two stab wounds, the accused were fleeing to Hyderabad when they were caught by the police near the bus stand. The police seized the car in which the accused was travelling. Later, they recovered the knife used to commit the crime at the scene of offence.
