Students of Montessori Public School on Monday launched an innovative door-to-door campaign sensitising people on health and hygiene.

The campaign was launched by the NSS Unit of the school. Students carried placards with messages on eradication of mosquito larvae and the elimination of breeding places vital in the battle against mosquito. Students also displayed their creativity by designing model traffic islands.

MLC K.S Lakshmana Rao and ex-ZPTC S. Narayana Prasad lauded the students for their interest. Municipal Health Officer G. Sobha Rani and correspondent Sebastian were present.

Mr. Sebastian later told media persons that the campaign was designed to draw the attention of the people to problems facing the city. He said the campaign was also aimed at supplementing the effort of civic organisations in maintaining the hygiene in the city.

The school has been in the forefront of extending assistance to children suffering from rare disorders, he said.
