Rowthu Suryaprakasha Rao, MLA, has assured that he will suggest the organisers of World Telugu Conference, which is going to be held in Tirupati, to put up a welcome arch in the name of CP Brown who had dedicated most of his life for development of Telugu language.

The MLA said on Wednesday that the proposal which came from CP Brown Mandiram, Rajahmundry, to this effect, would be forwarded to the organising committee.

Speaking at a programme held to mark CP Brown’s 118th death anniversary here, the MLA said that every Telugu-speaking person should remember him forever for his contribution to the Telugu language.

He also said that the World Telugu Conference should recall his services. Sannidhanam Sastry, head of the Mandiram, appealed to the MLA that the World Telugu Conference should announce a permanent programme in memory of CP Brown.

Phani Nageswara Rao, member of the Mandiram, said that a memorial was needed to remember Brown for the benefit of future generations.
