The case of a missing person, A. Yettaiah, 42, a labourer from Yelkaguda of Moinabad on city outskirts turned out to be a murder. The Moinabad police on Wednesday arrested the victim’s wife Lakshmi and her alleged paramour Raju, who confessed to have killed Yettaiah. Based on their confession, the police exhumed the victim’s body, which the accused had buried at a secluded place Kismathpur of Bandlaguda in Rajendranagar.
Three flats burgled
A gang burgled three flats in Vivek Paradise, an apartment building, located on Bachupally-Mallampet stretch in Dundigal police station area in the early hours of Wednesday.
The offenders broke open flats belonging to Varalaxmi, Meera Bai and Ramakanth Reddy, and took away gold jewellery weighing 300 grams.
Stolen goods recovered
The Karkhana police on Wednesday recovered stolen gold jewellery weighing 450 grams and five laptops, all worth Rs.17 lakh, after arresting two persons. The accused, M. Chandrashekhar and K. Srinivas, used to identify posh localities by searching Google maps and target locked houses. They were earlier arrested in house-breaking cases.
The TF (Central) team on Wednesday arrested a woman Mohsina Iffat, 54, and her son, Ahemdullah, 22, who allegedly obtained Indian passports by presenting fake documents.
Using the passport thus obtained, she flew to America and obtained Green card after living there for some years, the police said.
The Tukaramgate police on Wednesday arrested Chittemma, her alleged paramour, A. Narsaiah and their associate, G. Thippa Reddy, for the murder of her husband Mallikarjun in their house at Addagutta three days ago.
The woman served dinner laced with sleeping pills to her husband and his brother.
After they fell asleep, the accused, Narsaiah and Reddy, allegedly murdered Mallikarjun by smashing his head with a boulder, the police explained.
