Two class VII students, who went missing under mysterious circumstances from the Tribal Welfare Ashram High School for boys at Repaka in Kunavaram mandal on Thursday, were traced at Peda Arkur village in the same mandal on Sunday.

The parents and relatives of the two tribal boys belonging to Pusugudem and Sabari Kothagudem tracked the duo at the remote Peda Arkur village on Sunday after nearly three-days of frantic search. The boys reportedly took shelter at their distant relative’s house at Peda Arkur after fleeing from the school on Thursday.

They reportedly fled from the school unable to concentrate on their studies, sources added.

Meanwhile, the two boys were handed over to their parents in the presence of Kunavaram SI P Srinivas and the staff of the ashram school later in the day.

The officials concerned counselled the boys against leaving the school without permission.
