I wish to bring to everyone’s notice cheating being done through television advertising for ‘hanuman kavach’.

I purchased the ‘kavach’ from Renush enterprises with invoice TOT no:SAR/07/0/1807 on 15/11/08. But soon to my horror I realised that the gold plating was peeling off.

Despite my repeated requests through emails and calls to the agency to replace the item, it is yet to happen. One person by the name Kumar promised to send someone to look into the complaint and had even provided their telephone numbers, but they are not taking calls. I am helpless and am sure there are several people like me who have been cheated.

Change water supply timing

We do get drinking water supply in our colony, but if one has to collect water one has to wake up after midnight or around 1 a.m. This supply at odd hours is forcing us to buy water from other suppliers.

My request to authorities is to change the water supply timings.

Water stagnation

Despite large sums allocated for sanitation, urbansanitation remains woefully inadequate in the twin cities. The classic example is the way drainwater stagnates for days together in front of a popular and an old eating place, Bombay Anand Bhavan, in Regimental Bazaar.

It is a sad commentary that people thronging the hotel also seem to be indifferent despite this being a perennial problem due to overflowing of drains. Unless permanent measures are taken by the GHMC by frequent cleaning and desilting of drains, there is every likelihood of outbreak of diseases. One hopes that both hotel owner and GHMC will act fast now to arrest this problem.

Check chain snatching

Chain snatching cases are regularly occurring in suburban colonies. In some cases elderly women are injured also. The thieves do not seem to be afraid of getting caught. Police should form special squads to catch the culprits.
