Rajahmundry: A 17-year minor girl belonging to Scheduled Tribes of Addateegala mandal was allegedly molested by an advocate with the help of a realtor-friend. Both the accused were at large, the II Town police said.

According to DSP D. Janaki, the girl works in a shop on Kandakam road and is a resident of Subbarao Nagar.

The DSP said G.U.V.B. Raju, the advocate, who used to visit the shop allegedly lured the girl. She came to the III Town police station on Thursday and gave a statement alleging that she was trapped and molested by the advocate while his friend Kottapalli Bhaskaram took her photographs. The girl said they also threatened her of dire consequences if she spoke about it to anyone.

The III Town Sub-Inspector Rambabu said they booked cases under sections 376 (molesting minor girl), 506 (abduction and threatening), Section 3 (1) read with 12 under SC, ST atrocities Act.
