HYDERABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Bandaru Dattatreya has urged the 13 Telanagna Ministers who resigned from the Cabinet not to undertake official duties and prove their sincerity towards the region.
In a statement on Friday, he said that it was “ridiculous” to maintain that they would continue to attend to official work till Chief Minister K. Rosaiah accepted the resignations.
The BJP leader wanted them to submit the resignations to the Governor if Mr. Rosaiah delayed accepting them.
Mr. Dattatreya condemned Thursday’s assault on senior Telugu Desam (TDP) leader N. Janardhan Reddy, setting fire to the set erected for shooting of a film starring Mahesh Babu and the attack on farmhouse of Pawan Kalyan. Such incidents on public and private properties would bring a bad name to the separatist movement.
He said it was not improper for film artistes and leaders of political parties to belittle Telangana.
