It has a wide collection spread over four floors
GUNTUR: A dedicated menswear showroom – MD Fashions – opened in Guntur on Wednesday, promising quality and price economy.
Minister for Heavy Industries Kanna Lakshminarayana formally inaugurated the store and went round the shop.
Store owner Kolla Chencha Rao said that from formals to casuals, accessories in all price ranges were available in the four floors renovated and aesthetically designed to provide good shopping experience to the men. There were a number of shops offering clothes for the entire family, but in those outlets the choice was limited, he said.
The showroom would have clothes in the price of Rs.150 to Rs.15,000. Ground floor was dedicated to a mix of formals and casuals along with accessories for a low-budget customer. First floor was dedicated to branded casuals and some novel stuff. One of such products, a cowboy hat, was tried by the Minister sitting in the showroom during the inaugural.
Second floor was dedicated to all brands of formals with a wide range of variety and price band. The top floor was exclusively for Indian ethnic wear where kurta, paijama, shervani and other traditional clothes were available from Rs.1,000 to Rs.15,000 for the branded and selectively designed ones.
Large number of people thronged the store on the inaugural day to have a look at the variety of clothes available for summer. Cottons were in great demand as majority of customers enquired about cotton formals and casuals in all age groups.
