TDP leader had called Chief Minister a "factionist"
GUNTUR: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Kodela Siva Prasada Rao dubbing Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy a factionist was a case of "devil quoting the Holy Scriptures," said Minister for Cooperation and Transport Kanna Lakshmi Narayana.
At a press meet on Sunday here, he found fault with the TDP leader's statement on the recent murder of two persons of Rentachintala mandal in Guntur .
Reminding of bombs
"People have not forgotten that thousands of country bombs were discovered from Kodela's house," Mr. Lakshmi Narayana observed.
He said that the TDP was giving tickets to factionalists and rowdy elements. "Even the prime accused in the murder of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's father Raja Reddy is a general secretary of the TDP," he said. After the death of Anji Babu in Narsaraopet, the TDP raised a hue and cry about Congress misrule when the victim himself was accused in four murder cases.
The Congress had decided not to field factionalists in the election and kept its promise, he added.
